The company initially selected neurodegenerative ophthalmic diseases as the first clinical entry point. However, with the continued accumulation of mechanistic studies and animal data, SBC003 has shown broad neuronal repair potential across multiple neuronal types, suggesting its potential applicability to major central nervous system diseases such as stroke and Alzheimer’s disease.Our lead program is currently approaching the completion of IND-enabling studies, with the remaining work in the final stage. We are planning to advance the program into a Phase I clinical trial in the near term.
